On the 6th of May, the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) Pre-university Program held a magnificent commencement ceremony to celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2024.
Wang Xinrong, the Vice Dean of the Lifelong Education College, emphasized the exceptional opportunities for studying in China and highlighted the unique advantages of the SJTU Pre-university Program. She encouraged the students to maintain their dedication to excellence and continue to strive for success. Zhai Ying, the Director of the International Education Operation Center, reviewed the program's accomplishments over the past seven years and extended her heartfelt wishes to the graduating students.
During the ceremony, several honors were awarded to deserving students, including the "Star of the Pre-university Program" and "Outstanding Student." The recipients shared heartfelt memories and reflections on their time at SJTU, expressing their gratitude for the experiences gained. Class teachers Kong Jie and Zhang Shu were also recognized for their dedication and efforts, expressing their appreciation for the recognition from their students.
The student team organized a captivating array of talent performances, showcasing the diverse skills and abilities of the Pre-Uers. From singing to dancing and instrumental performances, the students' talents filled the ceremony with energy and enthusiasm. Additionally, a video reviewed the unforgettable moments and memories of the students' Pre-university journey, bringing back fond recollections for all.
Representatives from various countries took the stage to deliver speeches, sharing their personal growth stories and insights gained during their time at the Pre-university Program. Their words of encouragement and wisdom inspired the graduating students to confidently embrace their future academic journeys.
During the ceremony, four students were appointed as Alumni Liaison Ambassadors. On behalf of the group, AUNG MYAT SOE pledged to contribute to the ongoing development and success of the Pre-University Program. Additionally, alumnus JUN WEI LIM shared his experiences transitioning from the Pre-University Program to undergraduate studies, motivating the current students to bravely move forward in pursuit of their dreams.
The commencement ceremony was not only a celebration of the students' hard work and achievements over the past year, but also a symbolic start of their future academic endeavors.
